On Sunday morning our U14 Schoolgirls played Stoneyford United at home. Up against a strong visiting team the girls confidence was low after losing their first two league games. The management went with a different format playing a sweeper system and it paid off for the girls. The new defence with Clodagh Galway as sweeper and Carly Walsh-Murray playing her first game as centre half were superb throughout the game and shut out the Stoneyford forwards.
Camille Brandon and Cameron O Toole were also brilliant in their midfield battle.
Very few chances were created by both teams as it was a day when defences won out with no goals in the game. Final Score 0-0.
