The girls had a great result against a good Callan Utd side despite a number of the Thomastown girls missing, Thomastown took the lead after 10 minutes through Evie Dempsey after a brilliant persistent run which she finished to the net. They went 2 up after a brilliant finish from Lilly Diamond after some great work by Aoibhinn kelly. The next goal came from the penalty spot after a handball ,which was scored by Ruby Collins. The fourth goal again was scored by Lilly Diamond after good work by Mia Brennan and Evie Dempsey. Callan got a goal back at the start of the second half , only for Mia Brennan to go on one of her mazy runs and finish to the net for the final goal of the game. It was a great effort by both teams despite the weather.
