Our U14 Schoolgirls welcomed Bohemians from Waterford to United Part in their Regional Cup Competition. With conditions not particularly favourable for playing football after a lot of rain overnight and the Late Late Toy Show on the previous night the management team were hoping that the girls wouldn't be tired and sluggish. But they needn't have worried as the girls were on their game from the start. Two early goals from Sophie McCabe and Orla Sutton settled any nerves, Katie Dempsey added a third before half time as Thomastown continued to dominate the game.

As conditions got worse the girls seem to play better and midway through the second half Grace Hickey added the fourth and final goal of the game.

A huge panel of 22 girls turned up today and all contributed to the success, onwards to the next round. Credit also to the Bohemian girls for giving their all in trying conditions.
