Thomastown Women's team returned to action after several years away in the newly reformed St. Canice's Credit Union League.

Under the management of Frank Begley, the women played their first match away in Castlecomer against Deen Celtic on Sunday. A brilliant 8-1 victory got their season off to a flying start. The Thomastown goals came from Eva Hynes (3), Sarah Barcoe (2), Aine Lannon, Orlaith Kirwan and Lisa Carey.
