On Friday evening our U14B Schoolgirls travelled to Graigue to play Highview under lights. The girls got off to a quick start and dominated the first 20 minutes of the match but failed to create any clear chances. Then a moment of inspiration when Emma Dempsey burst through the home teams defence to give Thomastown a half time lead.

Highview started the second half the better and equalised after 10 minutes, this kick-started the Thomastown girls back into action and they went ahead with a great finish from Orla Sutton, however a lapse of concentration following the restart allowed Highview to equalise straight away straight away.

The Thomastown girls reacted to this setback they always do with great battling qualities, this resulted in Orla Sutton scoring her second goal of the game to give Thomastown the victory. Final Score 3-2
