On Saturday the U13b Schoolgirls played Deen Celtic in the league at home in United Park, following on from their heroic cup exploits on Tuesday night and a tough league game against Callan Utd on Thursday, 3 games in 5 days was starting to take its toll on the girls, as well as commitment to other sports in between.

The team, as always put their heart and soul into the performance but couldn't sustain the physical intensity that they had been showing in games all along.

Deen Celtic scored the only goal of the game in the second half to finish 1-0 winners, despite the best efforts of the Thomastown girls.

With a couple of league games left as well as a big Cup semi-final to look forward to, a rest up is needed for the battles ahead.
