On Sunday morning the Junior A team played Fort Rangers at home in the quarter final of the McCalmont Cup. Despite playing in a lower division the away team proved to be tough opposition and this proved to be the case when they went into half time break 1 up.

Thomastown, with some key players missing through suspension and injury, showed more fight and desire in the second half, and with goals from Mikey Thomas and Rory Monks ran out 2-1 winners in the end. They now advance to the semi-finals in search of silverware this year
