Premier Division Result
Thomastown United A 3-3 Bridge Utd
Nathan Sherry ⚽️ ⚽️
Robert Skehan ⚽️
After nearly a 3 week absence we were back on the playing field in the Premier League. Never going to be an easy game against Bridge Utd but we got a goal fest at least. It only took Nathan Sherry 11 minutes to open the scoring with a lofted header over the outcoming keeper. On the 20th minute Bridge were back level, Just a mere 9 minutes later Bridge went into the lead with a fantastic freekick from the edge of the box but it was the head of our favourite Kildare Man Nathan Sherry brought us back level on the 40th minute and the score remained level until half time.
62 minutes in the second half and we found ourselves trailing again 3-2 but that lead for Bridge only lasted 3 minutes when Rory Monks was taken down in the box and up stepped Robert Skehan who was intent on taking the net off the goal with the power in the kick. 65 minutes gone and 3-3. Not to much more to report on the game from here on in, Both sides with chances but none converted.
We must recover now and face Evergreen C in the 2nd round of the McCalmont Cup next Sunday
