Our Junior Teams journey in the LFA Junoir Cup ended in heartbreak losing out on penalties to Kilbarrack Utd. at home on Sunday.

The match was played out in atrocious weather condition as Storm Franklin crossed the country and a credit to both teams for putting on an exciting spectacle in front of hardy die-hard supporters.

Kilbarrack took the lead in the 27th minute and held onto it till the half-time break. The home team equalised early in the second half through Sean Brennan, Chances were at a premium and the game finished 1-1 and extra time was required. Both teams scored again in during the period, the Thomastown goal scored by Casper Konopka, and finshed up 2-2.

In the penalty shoot-out Kilbarrack got the better of Thomastown scoring all five penalties to win 5-4 and advance to the next round.
