Thomastown U13B Schoolgirls were unfortunately beaten under the fading light at United Park on Saturday afternoon. The girls dominated most of the first half with Katie Dempsey shining on the wing and Orla Sutton a powerhouse in the centre of midfield. For all their good play they couldn't get the goal their play deserved and went into the break with this score still level. Stoneyford came out a stronger team in the second half and grabbed a late winner to deny Thomastown, when they deserved at least a draw from the match. The Thomastown girls all put in a fantastic effort and still left the pitch smiling despite losing in such a cruel manner.
