Our u14 girls took the long trip up to Johnstown town last evening to take on Spa Utd, it's a really tough place to go and girls knew they had to be a it from the start,we started off great when Zoe Beck breaking through on goal and was taking down for a penalty, Orla took the penalty but a good save from the Spa Utd keeper kept the game score less, Spa Utd scored against the run of play and went one up at the break,
We brought Meagan Walsh on at half time and straight away she started causing trouble for the Spa Utd defence, she squared a great ball to Zoe in box Zoe picked out Ruby Collins at the back post who tapped the ball in to make the game 1-1,we kept the pressure on Eimer Cotterell when on a great run and was taking down just outside the box, up stepped Meagan Walsh, with that wand of a right foot she buried it in the top corner , with 5 minutes to go we got our 3rd, with Hannah Keane turning into "Messi" in the middle of the field but in a great ball for Mia Brennan we all know what happens next, the Spa Utd defenders could not catch her and she put the game to bed at 3-1 one to us,
A great result for us especially away from home and another great performance from these young girls.
Funal Score: 3-1
