There was double disappointment for both men's and women's teams in their respective cup competitions on Sunday.

Wasn’t to be our day today in the Leinster Junior Cup. The lads gave it their all, we came up against a very good Old County side. Inside the first 10 mins Jack Cullen pulled off a fantastic penalty save. We had shots off the woodwork, balls cleared off the line. The lads can keep their heads held high as they left it all on the pitch. Best wishes to Old County for the remainder of their season. We now focus on the McCalmont Cup Quarter Final next Sunday. Final Score 0-1

The junior women's team went out of the cup when beaten by Mill Celtic. Thomastown started well and took the lead in the 15th minute when Amber Laherty scored for the home team. A lead they held onto for the rest of the first half. However, in the second half Mill Celtic showed why they are League Champions with a much improved performance, after equalising in the 60th minute they went onto score three more goals to win well in the end.

Nonetheless it proved to be a good season overall for the Thomastown team in their debut year. Onwards and upwards for Frank and the team going forward. Final Score 1-4
