This morning our u14 girls took the short trip out to Ballyhale to take on Southend Utd, with Katie Davies hurting her ankle during the week we had to play Sophie on in the first half,we played up the hill in the first half and created a few chances but couldn't get passed the Southend keeper until Orla broke through and put the ball into the back of the net,we went into the break one up,we made a 5 changes at half time Orla went on goal and Sophie came out and straight away from the kick off Sophie set up a great chance for Zoe and with the form Zoe is in she was never going to miss, quickly after going 2 up we went 3 up when Emma Dempsey spilt the Southend defence with super ball for Ruby Collins to run onto it and score our 3,we went 4 up when Mia Brennan went on one of her great runs to score with another great finish, Zoe got our 5 and her second and just before the end Ruby Collins got her second and our 6th,to win 6 nil away from home is a great result, our back line from start to finish was like a brick wall today nothing could get passed, another great result and performance from girls,a big addition to our squad this season is Maeve Kenny you ran the show in the middle of the field today,it was great to give all the girls game time today, everyone one them were brilliant again today 😄
