Thomastown U11 boys picked up their first win in the David Doran Shield with an emphatic 5 nil win in United Park. Thomastown got off to the perfect start when Jack Moran scored in the first minute. The home team looked dangerous with every attack & Cian Lanigan soon put Thomastown 3 up with two quick fire goals. Thomastown’s strikers were on fire now & Jack Moran scored again to make it 4. Just before halftime Cian Lanigan completed his hat trick to leave it 5 nil at half time. Callan came into it in the second half but Borys Tylicki, Sean Hoyne & Jack Donald were solid at the back. Keeper Robbie Atkins pulled out a great save to keep Callan at bay. Thomastown had good performances all over the park, James Lanigan was powerful in the middle of the park but player of the match goes to hat trick hero Cian Lanigan.
